1988 Raynor Garage Door Opener

I am a real estate agent and have a home owner with a Raynor Garage Door Opener that was made in 1988 and the home inspector wrote it up for not having the trigger to the door when it meets resistance (as a safety measure for children and pets etc)

Did the models produced in 1988 have that feature?

Can it be added?

I realize that the opener is over 20 years old but it does still work just fine. If it can be adjusted or this safety feature can be added then the current homeowner will do so.

I would appreciate a timely response as we are on a transaction deadline to have this taken care of.

In 1988 they did not have this feature. Upgrades are not available simply because it is much more cost effective to install a new opener which does meet codes.
