Challenger Garage Door Opener model JG850

by mike mcgirr
(alpena, mi)

My remote quit working and after a few weeks I triggered it while working in my garage and it worked again for about 3 weeks, and now is not working again for some time.

The battery is new in the remote control. When I cross the red and white wire leading out of the receiver the door opener activates.

Is there some way to trouble shoot the remote or receiver, or replace them and keep the opener.

It works fine when you press the manual button just inside the garage door.

Most likely your remote is worn out. Get a new one, follow the included instructions and everything should be fine.

Carriage trolley
by: Ken

I have an old Challenger door opener model JG850. I need a new carriage trolley. The only carriage trolley I can find is from Wayne-Dalton, and it is the only one they make. I talked to service rep, but he couldn't tell me if it would work on that old model. Can anyone tell me if a "new" carriage trolley will work on my old opener?
