change the light bulb

How do you change the light bulb on the legacy? I can see the lightbulb but can not get the cover off,

See figure 10-1 in the manual (have to use Genie manual if you don't have yours and have to go online - Overhead Door and Genie are the same), page 21. Online manual at http://www.geniecompany.com/docs/GENIE%20CHAINGLIDE-ENG.pdf

This shows the hinges. At the other end of the cover you should find the tabs. They may have to be pressed inward before the cover releases.
