garage door closes instead of opens when safety sensors are activated

I had installed a 1/2 hp craftman garage door opener. I used the installation manuals and recheck every step shown on the manuals.

The problem is that the door closes when something pass through the sensors, the door should do the opposite. This is a really safety hazard for my family. What can I do?

Sensors closing door

It sounds to me that you have one of two situations. Without seeing it its tough to tell but it sounds like either A. the trolley & chain are on backwards so the motor is actually funtioning properly but "running backwards" or the wires on your limit switches may be reversed.
