garage door key pad

Once I have opened my garage door I'm suppose to be able to just hit the enter key on the key pad to close it. But this has stopped working.

Everything else is working fine so I can't see why it would be the battery. Any other ideas?

It could be that the contacts for this particular button are worn out.

Perhaps someone more qualified in electronics could provide a better answer.
