Garage Door Opener Keeps Opening and Closing

Garage door keeps going up and down..won't stop, had to disconnect, whats the problem??

There are a few possibilities.

1.) Remove the battery from any remotes which are in range, even those that may be stuck in a drawer. If that solves the problem you can replace the battery in each remote until you find the bad one.

2.) Wires shorted behind wall control panel or on back of motor assembly.

3.) Bad control board, possibly due to an electrical surge.

Those are the ones I can think of at the moment.
