Garage Door Opener Light Not Working

Have a Guardian 21230L whose light bulb is working; I checked it on my torch and everything's fine, only thing is, it won't come on when either opening or closing the door. Had no problems in the past and all's ok. Any suggestions please. Oslo Is the light bulb socket still good? They are easy to replace. If it is not something simple to fix, I usually find it easier and cheaper to install a motion detector lamp in the garage and just not use the light on the opener.
