garage door opener opens but won't close

Hi,

I have your garage door opener Model #3018. I've only had it for a few years and on Saturday it worked going up and then when I went to put it down, it didn't work.

I haven't had it that long, it certainly should have lasted longer than that. My garage is not attached so it's not like I even use it everyday.

I went back to Menards today and they don't even sell this brand any longer. Have there been issues with this particular model? Is there anything that you can do for me?

What brand is it?

If it opens OK but will not close, have you tried pressing and holding the wall control button until the door closes completely?

This would be an indication the safety sensors are out of alignment.
