Garage Door Opens On Its Own

garage door keeps opening and won't stay down-

This is usually caused by a faulty remote. Either one of those your family is using or one that is stuck away in a drawer.

Find any that is in a drawer and remove their batteries.

As for those that are in use, remove all batteries.

Then replace the battery in one and wait to see if the door opens on its own again. This usually requires keeping all remotes but one disabled overnight.

If all is OK with that one, do the same with the next.

When you find the faulty remote, remove its battery and take the remote to your local recycling center.
