Garage Door Won't Close

My Sears Craftsman garage door all of a sudden will not continue down to the closed position. It returns to the open position and the light blinks indicating some sort of problem.

There are no obstructions in the way of the sensors nor does it strike anything to cause it to reverse. It moves up and down by hand with no problem. Any ideas???
