Garage Won't open or Do not open

Hello,
I have an old automatic garage door and it stop opening. There is no visible cracks in spring nor I can see any broken parts.

The electrical or machine noise that usually occur while opening the door is the same, lights also lits up but the door is not opening. There is no visible pulling of the door when I switch on the garage opener.

My garage door opener is made by Genie automatic garage door opener system - model 450. Any suggestion would be appreciated. thanks

It sounds like the plastic drive gears have stripped.

Remove the cover from the motor assembly and you will probably find ground up pieces of white plastic.

Replace the gears and it should work.
