Legacy Overhead Door Garage Door Opener

I have a Overhead Door Opener Legacy Model 696 CD/B. It has power but will not work. The sensors are red & green and I have power at the plug. Any thoughts?

What does it do? Does it make any noise? Grinding sound, whirring noise, clicking, any noise at all.

Will it do anything when you press the wall control button? Does the door make any movement at all?

Chain or belt drive? Has the chain or belt come off the drive gear or pulley? Plastic gears stripped? Belt or chain broken?

I have an opener that when you have something in the way of the door closing to the ground it should go back up, it continues to close. What settings comtrol this safety mechanism to work properly?

Try adjusting the closing force.

Problem when temp drops below 45 degrees
by: George G

I have a Legacy 696cd4/B door opener. When the temp drops below 45 Deg. it will not function. Any advice on this problem?

All those metal parts expand or contract with temperature changes. Try adjusting the alignment of the track.
