Take it from some one who works on openers daily use a liftmaster opener. Their a much better opener and they have a longer life and are much easier to troubleshoot.

Overhead Door or Liftmaster
by: Donald

There is not much difference in quality of openers by most of the different manufacturers, as long as you can set aside personal preferences and prejudices. Liftmaster provides a good unit, but the extra features of the Legacy makes it the preferred choice in my opinion.

From my page at Overhead Door Legacy Garage Door Opener
"The Overhead Door Legacy Garage Door Opener combines a fully enclosed chain and permanently lubricated gear housing with an industrial strength chain and solid steel rail resulting in reliable, long lasting performance."

This means less maintenance. No need to lubricate the chain or gears. No chain adjustments after wear-in.
