light bulb won't go out

The lightbulb won't go out after the door goes down on my Genie BlueMax 12A garage door opener. is there a way to set the timer on the light on the garage door opener?

The timer cannot be set for continuous lighting.

If it never goes off there is a problem with the controls or you have a deluxe wall control with a light on function.
