Model 3512 Garage Door Won't Close

Door only closes about a foot and goes back up. Clicking noise on opener.

This sounds like a problem with your infrared safety beams. They are mounted on each side of the door, about 6 inches above the floor.

Could be in the wiring or bad sensors, but usually caused by sensors getting out of alignment.

Get your head down low enough you are at eye level with the indicator lights on the sensors.

The receiving units indicator light will be blinking rapidly if they are misaligned. You usually cannot tell this without getting down there where you are looking directly into the indicator light.

Bend the bracket on the sending unit until the infrared beam strikes the lens on the receiving unit.
