Some people will charge too much while others will charge too little. If you charge too much, no one will buy anything from you and you simply did nothing more than waste your time and effort. In addition, you are still broke at the end of the sale. If you price everything way under what they are worth, garage sale wise, you will move inventory but you will not have a lot of cash in your hands at the end of the sale. What you want to do is to find a balance. Your shoppers do not want to pay full price for something, even if it is brand new. They turn to garage sales for the bargains that they can find. This of course does not mean that you want to give everything away for free. If you feel that something is "worth" twenty dollars, you will maybe want to price it at ten dollars. Do not be surprised if your customers want to bargain with you a little. It is all a part of the garage sale experience. Be willing to work with them a little and drop the price ten or twenty percent. You might want to take this into consideration when you are marking the prices on your items. When you remember these things, you will be sure to have a successful garage sale with happy customers and a fat wallet. Top How Do I Price Things for a Garage Sale?
