Programming in car remote without handheld transmitter

by Kathy Laubach
(Fallston, MD )

Do we need the remote to program a car to the door opener? We have two cars & keyless entry that have been programmed for years (until we erased them all trying to program a new car) We no longer have the remotes.

Yes. It can sometimes be difficult even then.

Go to your local Home Center and purchase an inexpensive remote for your garage door.

Programming (Homelink) instructions for your specific vehicle can be found at http://www.homelink.com/training/train.taf
