Can You Still Find Them?

The Stanley Garage Door Opener has not been manufactured since 1997. Parts can be difficult to find. You probably cannot find parts locally, but some are still available online.

Dealers for the Whistler, 3500, 7100, ambassador and other models no longer exist. Most garage door dealers will still service these operators, but have few parts other than universal items which will work with most models.

Adjustments, wiring, and maintenance are similar to today’s popular models so most dealers have few problems making repairs as long as they can find parts.

A few circuit boards and receivers are still available online and they usually come with illustrations and diagrams to assist in the install.

Some parts such as remote transmitters and wall switches are easy to find replacements for. Online parts dealers can help you find compatible items.

Owners manuals are very hard to find. If you still have yours you could easily sell it, or copies, on eBay.

Some major components simply cannot be found and you will need a replacement garage door opener.
