Can You Still Find Them?

The Stanley Garage Door Opener has not been manufactured since 1997. Parts can be difficult to find. You may not be able to find parts locally, but some are still available online.

Dealers for the Whistler, 3500, 7100, ambassador and other models no longer exist. Most garage door dealers will still service these operators, but have few parts other than universal items which will work with most models.

Adjustments, wiring, and maintenance are similar to today’s popular models so most dealers have few problems making repairs as long as they can find parts.

Some major components simply cannot be found and you will need a replacement garage door opener.

Below I have listed the parts I was able to find online.

Digi-Code Universal Safety Beam Sensor Replacement Kit CR-2149

The universal beam sensor works with all major brands of garage door openers - Chamberlain®, Liftmaster®, CraftsmanTM, Overhead® (1995+), GenieTM (2 Wire Systems 1995+), Challenger®, Stanley®, Linear®, Moore-O-Matic® and Raynor® models (built by Chamberlain®).

The beams have a self programming feature which allow the installer to simply hook up the beams to the existing wiring, mount the units to the wall and the job is complete.
