Universal Remote for my Allstar 3500

by Rosita
(Hawley,Pa)

I brought an universal remote for my Allstar 3500.

According to the manufactor's instructions, I am to push the smart button on the Allstar.

After looking, I have no idea where the smart button is located. Please help.

It has been 12 years since I became disabled but if I remember correctly, the 3500 does not have a learn button. Instead, it has a row of dip-switches which are used to set the coding.

If it does have a learn button, it should be on one side of the overhead assembly.

If it does not have a learn button, there will be a row of tiny switches called dip-switches. The switches in your remote must be set to the exact same positions as those on your operator. You may have to remove a cover to find them.

And no universal remote is 100% universal. Is yours on the list of compatible openers on the list which came with your universal remote?
